KRAFTON's Palworld Mobile is being developed by PUBG STUDIOS under license from Pocketpair for iOS and Android. It has already gone through a regional closed alpha, but there is still no worldwide public build or confirmed commercial release date.
Touch input is changing more than the button layout
The G-STAR 2025 version used mobile-specific controls and aim assistance to reduce the burden of aiming a firearm while moving and operating Pal abilities. Earlier testing also exposed more explicit quest guidance and convenience features intended for phone-sized sessions.
Those changes are not glamorous, but they matter. An interface designed for a monitor can survive a few extra panels. On a phone, every persistent button is taking space directly away from the game.
PUBG STUDIOS is giving Pal abilities their own combat layer
The Player Pal Skill system shown during alpha allowed several creatures to contribute abilities more directly during combat. KRAFTON's current official description continues to separate the player's aiming and shooting from the attacks, support and healing provided by Pals.
That creates a more touch-friendly division of labor without removing Palworld's shooter component entirely.
The large survival systems are still present
Palworld Mobile retains hunger, environmental danger, resource gathering, crafting and base construction. The official description still moves from primitive tools and basic workbenches toward firearms and larger factories.
Pals remain part of the labor system as bases grow. This matters because a heavily simplified survival loop would make the mobile version easier to control, but it would also remove much of what distinguishes Palworld from a conventional creature-collection game.
Mobile multiplayer is being developed as its own experience
KRAFTON lists a shared Plaza for breeding and hatching Pals, player-versus-player battles and encounters with major bosses. Earlier alpha material also included multiplayer raids.
Cross-play, cross-save and shared progression with the existing PC and console game have not been announced.
The important hardware questions are still unanswered
There is no final published device matrix, minimum Android specification or supported iPhone list for the commercial build. KRAFTON has also not disclosed final storage requirements or the graphics presets it intends to offer across different classes of phone.
Its current roadmap gives one firm milestone: a Closed Beta Test in 2026. The company has not attached a month or a global launch date to it.
The newly opened Korean pre-registration for Palworld Online does not change that schedule. Garena's MMORPG is a separate licensed game.
