The real specification is 1GB

Digit's Redmi Go test used a Snapdragon 425 and only 1GB of RAM. PUBG Mobile Lite genuinely ran, although the publication saw very low resolution, simplified character models, texture pop-in and occasional slowdown in intensive fights.

Google Play still advertises that same 1GB RAM threshold today, alongside roughly 600MB of free storage. The listing identifies Unreal Engine 4.

Chipset differences show immediately

Gadgets 360 measured roughly one minute and sixteen seconds to load on the Snapdragon 425-powered Redmi Go. It reported occasional stutter, texture pop-in and mild input lag, with around nine percent battery drain after twenty minutes.

A Nokia 2.2 using a Helio A22 was smoother and lost around five percent over twenty-five minutes. The Helio P22-based Realme C2 loaded in about one minute and six seconds and used roughly four percent battery during a twenty-minute session.

The Snapdragon 439 Redmi 7A performed best in that group. Loading fell to roughly 54 seconds, Gadgets 360 observed no significant lag, and battery use was around four percent over twenty minutes.

Minimum memory does not equal minimum experience

These results show why RAM is only one part of the performance profile. CPU and GPU capability, storage behaviour, thermal management and network conditions all remain important.

The official support page explicitly warns that low battery levels and high temperature can reduce processor frequency and cause frame-rate drops. It also points to network latency as another source of poor performance.

Optimisation reaches beyond rendering

Lite reduces obvious graphical costs, but it also reduces the problem the hardware has to solve. The official description uses a smaller battlefield and sixty-player matches, while launch reviews documented more forgiving recoil and simplified combat behaviour.

That makes PUBG Mobile Lite technically more interesting than a low-quality graphics profile. Rendering, simulation and game design were all adjusted around the same hardware constraint.
