This is not just a fancy name for a heat spreader

CryoPulse uses a physical micro-pump to move coolant through internal channels. The upper section of the power bank is transparent, so the green liquid can actually be seen circulating when the cooling system is active.

That makes for an excellent IFA demonstration, but there is a practical reason behind it. Magnetic charging places the battery pack directly against the phone, leaving relatively little room for heat to escape from either device.

UGREEN combines the coolant loop with copper heat spreading and an internal layout designed to keep heat-producing charging components apart. The company claims the system can lower peak core temperatures by as much as 10°C in its test conditions.

UGREEN also claims up to 44 percent less heat buildup around the lithium-ion cells. Those numbers remain manufacturer figures until independent testing can reproduce them.

Cooling matters more as Qi2 gets faster

The MagFlow Pro supports up to 25W wireless charging through Qi2.2. That is a meaningful step beyond early 15W Qi2 accessories, but faster wireless power also makes thermal management harder.

Once temperatures climb far enough, charging electronics normally reduce output. UGREEN's objective is therefore not simply to make the casing feel cooler. The cooling system is intended to let the pack sustain higher charging rates for longer before thermal throttling becomes necessary.

That is the part worth watching. A pump and glowing coolant window are unusual. Consistent 25W charging would be useful.

The rest of the power bank is surprisingly conventional

Two 5,000mAh cells provide a combined 10,000mAh capacity. UGREEN estimates roughly 1.36 charges for an iPhone 17 Pro Max or two full charges for an iPhone Air under its own test conditions.

A built-in USB-C cable doubles as a carrying strap and supports up to 45W output. There is also a separate USB-C port, allowing the pack to power a wired device while another phone is attached magnetically.

Three devices can technically be charged at once, although total output is capped at 45W, so available power is shared when several outputs are being used.

UGREEN says a Qi2 25W connection can take an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50 percent in around 40 minutes.

A $149.99 experiment in keeping batteries cool

The unusual engineering comes with an unusual price for a 10,000mAh pack. UGREEN lists the MagFlow Pro at $149.99 in the US, while its European price is €119.99.

The body is still only 16.2mm thick despite the pump, coolant channels, charging hardware and integrated cable.

More importantly, UGREEN is not alone in treating cooling as a new charging feature. IFA 2026 has produced several Qi2 25W accessories using fans, thermoelectric cooling or more elaborate passive heat management.

Wireless charging spent years trying to become simpler. At 25W, the engineering behind it is getting considerably more complicated.
