A PlayStation Plus announcement is about more than the names of the games. Subscribers also need to know which console versions are included, when they can be claimed and whether access continues beyond the monthly availability window.
Sony announced its November 2026 Monthly Games lineup on October 28. It includes Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2.
The claim period begins November 3 and ends November 30, 2026.
Which games support PS4 and PS5?
Dead Island 2 is offered for both PS4 and PS5.
Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered is also available on both console generations.
Monster Train 2 differs: Sony lists only its PS5 version in the November Monthly Games announcement.
As a result, PS5 owners have access to all three titles through the lineup, while PS4 owners have two specifically listed versions available to claim.
The fact that three games belong to one monthly selection does not mean each game supports every PlayStation console.
Monthly Games are not the same as the Game Catalog
PlayStation Plus operates several content programs with different access conditions.
Monthly Games can be claimed during a designated period and added to a subscriber's library. Once claimed, the games remain playable while an eligible PlayStation Plus subscription is active.
The Game Catalog available through higher PlayStation Plus tiers operates differently. Titles can enter and leave that rotating collection, and downloaded games may become inaccessible after they are removed.
November's three announced titles are Monthly Games available starting with the Essential tier.
Subscribers do not need Extra or Premium solely to claim this particular selection.
November 30 is the claim deadline, not a play deadline
The November 30 date marks the end of the period in which subscribers can add the three games to their accounts.
A player who claims Dead Island 2 early in November can continue to use it after that date as long as the relevant subscription remains active.
The same principle applies to Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2.
Downloading immediately is not required to preserve the claim. What matters is adding the title to the PlayStation account library during the promotional window.
However, players who do not claim a game before its deadline should not assume it will remain available through the next month's selection.
Platform listings are not performance benchmarks
Sony's October 28 announcement identifies the included game versions but does not provide technical measurements comparing their performance.
No detailed PS4-versus-PS5 frame-rate analysis for Dead Island 2 is included in the monthly lineup announcement.
Likewise, the announcement does not document the resolution or loading-time differences between console versions of Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered.
For Monster Train 2, the confirmed fact is its inclusion as a PS5 title. The announcement alone does not support additional performance claims.
Platform availability and technical quality should therefore be treated as separate questions.
October's games remain claimable until November 2
Before November's lineup begins, subscribers can still add the October titles to their accounts.
F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 remain part of the current Monthly Games selection until Monday, November 2.
The new lineup becomes available the following day, November 3.
Regional availability and subscription terms may vary, so players should consult their local PlayStation Store for account-specific conditions.
The key details are confirmed: three November Monthly Games, two supporting both PS4 and PS5, one listed for PS5 only, and a claim window ending November 30.
