This is the first open-ear model in the Master Series
Noise unveiled Master Buds Open at IFA Berlin on September 4. They extend a premium family that already includes Master Buds, Master Buds 2 and Master Buds Max.
The new model changes the wearing style completely.
Instead of sealing the ear canal, each earbud clips around the outer ear and positions its acoustic section close to the opening.
Awareness is the point
Noise is explicitly targeting people who want music and calls without losing contact with the environment around them.
The company mentions commuting, cafés, calls on the move and outdoor fitness. Those are familiar open-ear use cases: traffic and conversation remain considerably easier to hear than with a sealed in-ear design.
There is a trade-off built into the format. Without an acoustic seal, producing consistent bass and controlling how much sound reaches the listener becomes harder.
Sound by Bose is a collaboration, not a Bose product
The Bose logo is prominent on both the earbuds and charging case, but these are Noise earbuds.
Sound by Bose Technology describes the acoustic collaboration behind the product. Noise has already used Bose's involvement elsewhere in the Master Series.
At IFA, the company is promising premium sound alongside environmental awareness. It has not yet released enough technical detail to test that promise against specifications.
The physical product is public. Most of the spec sheet is not
TechRadar photographed working display units at IFA, including black and metallic finishes and the polished clip-style design.
The charging case continues the metallic visual treatment and carries both Noise and Sound by Bose branding.
Noise has deliberately stopped short of a full product reveal.
Battery life is still unknown
There is no confirmed battery-life figure yet. Driver size, Bluetooth version and supported codecs have also not been announced.
Noise has not confirmed an IP rating, microphone configuration or whether Master Buds Open inherit features such as spatial audio from other Master Series products.
Those older specifications should not be carried over by assumption. Master Buds Open use a substantially different acoustic format.
Noise is entering a market that is already busy
Open-ear audio has moved quickly from niche sports hardware to a mainstream earbud category.
Bose, Shokz, Huawei, Sony, Nothing and several lower-cost brands already sell products built around keeping the ear canal open. IFA adds even more competition: Soundcore is showing its AeroClip 2 family and JLab has new open models of its own.
Bose's acoustic involvement gives Noise an easy headline. Price, fit and actual tuning will have to do the harder work.
Fit could decide whether the design works
Clip-style earbuds avoid the pressure and sealed sensation of traditional silicone tips, which can make long listening sessions more comfortable for some users.
The contact points simply move elsewhere. Clamp pressure and weight distribution around the outer ear matter much more with this form factor.
A few minutes at a trade show cannot establish what that feels like after several hours.
India gets them first in late September
Noise says Master Buds Open will go on sale in India beginning in late September through major online platforms, retail stores and its own website.
Pricing will be announced closer to commercial release.
The company has also not provided a complete international availability schedule yet, despite using IFA as the stage for what it describes as a broader move into the global open-ear market.
