Nacon has confirmed Edge of Memories for November 5 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game runs on Unreal Engine 5, and official PC specifications are now published through the publisher's store.
The installation is comparatively small at 22GB.
A GTX 1060 is still officially enough to get started
Minimum specifications pair Windows 10 or 11 with an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X.
GPU requirements begin with a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, Radeon RX 590 8GB or Intel Arc A580 8GB. Nacon lists 12GB of system memory and DirectX 12.
That remains a relatively accessible floor for an Unreal Engine 5 production releasing at the end of 2026.
The recommended tier climbs much more sharply on the GPU side
Nacon recommends a Core i5-12600K or Ryzen 5 7600 with 16GB of RAM.
Recommended graphics hardware moves to a GeForce RTX 3070 8GB, Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB or Intel Arc B580 12GB.
The publisher does not specify which resolution, visual preset or frame-rate target those recommendations correspond to, so the word recommended should not be interpreted as a guaranteed 1440p or 60fps profile.
The demo already showed that raw hardware was not the only issue
After Steam Next Fest, the development team acknowledged that the public build was not fully optimised.
Console versions were still being worked on, while PC players had reported performance inconsistencies. Midgar Studio said stability remained an active target for launch.
That makes the final specifications useful but incomplete: they tell us which hardware is being targeted, not whether frame delivery will be consistently smooth on it.
Combat deliberately creates heavy visual moments
Edge of Memories is built around fast real-time combat with multiple characters, companion abilities and large attack effects.
Eline chains attacks and perfect dodges before potentially transforming into her Berserker state, producing some of the game's busiest sequences.
The team already identified noticeable spikes during certain combos in the demo. Its comments focused mainly on balance and combat feel, but those are also precisely the moments where stable performance matters most.
Moving from Unity to Unreal Engine 5 is a significant studio transition
Edge of Eternity was developed with Unity. Edge of Memories moves to Unreal Engine 5 alongside a complete visual overhaul and an entirely new combat system.
The change extends into world design. Avaris uses denser environments, extensive vegetation and regions physically transformed by the Corrosion.
Previously visited areas can change and expose new routes as the plague advances.
There is still no official DLSS, FSR or XeSS breakdown
The published requirements currently provide no detailed information about upscaling, frame generation or ray tracing.
Nacon has also not released a formal resolution and frame-rate matrix for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions.
The safest technical facts therefore remain straightforward: DirectX 12, 22GB of storage, 12 to 16GB of RAM and an RTX 3070-class GPU at the recommended tier.
November 5 will reveal whether the months following Steam Next Fest were enough to resolve the issue the developers themselves identified in June: Edge of Memories was already playable, but its optimisation was not finished.
