The Black and White Grand Theft Auto VI Limited Edition DualSense controllers begin launching on November 19, 2026. Both have a recommended price of €84.99 in Europe, and pre-orders start September 10.

Sony has announced no change to the underlying controller specification.

The finish is designed to move with the light

Both versions use an iridescent treatment around the central section of the controller, shifting through colours associated with Vice City's neon palette. The effect contrasts against either a dark shell or the much brighter white version.

Sony describes the white model around daytime Vice City, pastel skies and beaches. The black one takes its cues from the city's nightlife.

Palm-tree details are moulded directly into the grips. That makes them more than printed decoration, although Sony has not announced a broader change to the controller's ergonomics or materials.

GTA VI's DualSense support works on the regular controller too

Grand Theft Auto VI uses haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on PlayStation 5. Sony says the triggers dynamically alter resistance in response to gameplay while the haptic system reacts to events and interactions.

The integrated speaker is also used for selected sound effects, adding another output channel alongside the controller's vibration system.

None of those functions requires the limited-edition hardware. Sony is describing GTA VI's normal DualSense support, so owners of the standard controller retain the same underlying feature set.

Black and white do not have identical retail distribution

The White Limited Edition is planned for limited global availability through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.

The Black Limited Edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct in territories where Sony's direct store operates. Select retailers will carry it elsewhere.

French pre-orders begin at 10am local time on September 10 through PlayStation Direct. Sony notes that exact availability and release timing can vary by country.

The premium pays for the design

At €84.99, these are primarily collector versions of existing hardware rather than a new DualSense revision.

They start shipping on November 19, matching the currently announced release date of Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
