World of Tanks in 2026: The Old Engine Still Has Armor, but Its PC Requirements Finally Caught Up
The Core engine gave World of Tanks a second visual life in 2018 while preserving unusually modest hardware requirements. In 2026 that compromise is shifting: update 2.3.1 substantially raises the minimum PC specification, while 2.4 delivers the largest shot-effects and audio overhaul in eight years. It remains impressively scalable for a live service this old, although 70-120GB of storage and 8-16GB of RAM clearly mark the end of support for truly ancient PCs.
