Slay the Spire 2 on Godot: a lightweight game whose real problems rarely come from the GPU
Mega Crit rebuilt Slay the Spire 2 in Godot after abandoning Unity without turning the engine switch into pointless technical spectacle. Hardware requirements remain exceptionally modest and Steam Deck is officially verified, while patches have focused mostly on occasional stutter, save reliability, Linux issues, cloud syncing and multiplayer synchronization. It is exactly the kind of technology a card game should aim for: technology that disappears behind the decisions.
